Writing a bio has always been difficult for me. How the heck do I fit all of me into a paragraph or two? Should I write in the third person or take a friendly tone? Do I list all my past experiences—twelve years of practice in various contemplative traditions—or should I talk about how much lighter my attitude toward the messiness of life is now? Does anyone care about my Unified Mindfulness teacher certification and other evidence of my competency? Do I care? And my answer is “I don’t know.”
There is something I know, though. I enjoy supporting other people in their practice, whatever that may be at the time. I cherish shared moments of honesty and heartfelt communication. I am enriched by seeing more lightness and ease in others’ experience. That’s why I care and that’s why I am offering a space to practice together. Because others offered that space of growth to me, and I am deeply grateful.

Evening Practice
Thursdays 2-2:45pm ET / 8-8:45pm CET
There is something we call “evening” always happening somewhere on this planet. In the same way, there is something we call “practice” always happening somewhere in our experience. When the sun sets beyond the horizon, I know “evening” has arrived. But do we really know what practice is?
In these sessions, we will explore just that. We will begin with 25 minutes of lightly guided practice together, followed by space for sharing. By seeing for ourselves and then reflecting as a group, we may find ourselves in a better position to deepen our understanding of practice. And perhaps—who knows—we might even be enlightened about the true meaning of “evening” itself.
