About

Connection, inspiration, and support.

At Seeds, our fundamental mission is to bring together those interested in meditation, providing a reliable, authentic and welcoming space for meaningful connection, learning and support, regardless of experience, financial means or background.

We offer free and accessible meditation sessions, striving to eliminate barriers so the benefits of regular practice and connection to community are accessible to all. In addition to our free sessions, special offerings such as in-person and virtual retreats, live workshops and courses will be offered throughout the year.

Years before the name Seeds emerged, Tanya Mahar held a clear vision: to create a welcoming community in which quality meditation teachings and support are freely and widely available. The vision began to materialize in 2022, and in May 2023, the inaugural in-person Seeds retreat was held at the Monastery of Mount Carmel. In the early months of that transformative year, a collaboration grew between Tanya and Ghoot Emaho, and together they co-founded Seeds Meditation Community. United by a shared vision, they established a welcoming, vibrant hub where anyone interested in meditation can enjoy meaningful connections with teachers, other meditators and themselves.

“Seeds Meditation Community offers high quality live guidance, professional interactive coaching, and community unconstrained by tradition, for a science enriched and broad-based approach to mindfulness training…what’s not to love! 🙂”
